AIM Solo 2 DL GPS Laptimer & Datalogger – RPM/ECU

The AIM Solo 2 DL is an advanced GPS lap timer and datalogger designed for use on the racetrack. Its integrated GPS automatically determines its position and recognises the start/finish line, while the built-in track database provides access to more than 3,000 circuits.

If a circuit is not available in the database, the Auto Learning function can be used to record the necessary track information. Lap times and recorded data can be stored in the 4 GB internal memory.

The Solo 2 DL differs from the standard Solo 2 through its ability to connect to the vehicle's ECU. This allows available ECU parameters, including engine RPM, to be logged alongside GPS and lap timing data. AIM ECU cables are available separately for various motorcycle applications.

Racing functions

The AIM Solo 2 DL supports several timing modes:

• Closed circuit racing
• Point-to-point
• Regularity tests
• Acceleration tests, such as 0–100 km/h

Ten configurable RGB LEDs can be used as shift lights or to display lap-time differences compared with a reference or best lap.

The display offers eight freely configurable pages and seven selectable RGB backlight colours, allowing the displayed information to be adapted to the rider, vehicle and application.

GPS and internal sensors

The Solo 2 DL uses a 10 Hz GPS system for accurate position and lap-time measurement. It also features an internal 3-axis ±5G accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis magnetometer.

With a stated lap-time accuracy of less than 0.02 seconds, the Solo 2 DL provides detailed data for analysing performance on track.

Wi-Fi and RaceStudio

The integrated Wi-Fi connection allows communication with AIM RaceStudio 3 for functions such as firmware and track updates and downloading recorded data.

AIM RaceStudio Analysis can then be used for detailed post-session analysis of the recorded GPS, lap and ECU data.
