For riders who prioritize brake feel and precise modulation, the Gale Speed VRC17A-17B offers an exceptionally adjustable radial master cylinder setup. Combining a 17.5mm piston with an adjustable 18-16mm ratio, it gives the rider considerable freedom to fine-tune front brake response.

One of the defining features of the VRC series is the adjustable master cylinder action point. Rather than offering only a few preset positions, Gale Speed allows the ratio to be changed between 16 and 18mm in fine 0.25mm increments. This makes it possible to make small adjustments until lever travel, feedback, and response suit your riding style.

At the 16mm setting, lever travel is longer and the brake has a softer, more progressive character, providing plenty of room for precise modulation. Moving towards 18mm reduces lever travel and produces a firmer, more direct feel. The 17mm setting offers a balanced compromise between the two.

Designed around rider control

The VRC17A-17B is equipped with Gale Speed's long Power Lever. Its shape is designed to efficiently transfer finger force while maintaining excellent feedback during braking.

The master cylinder body is manufactured from forged aluminium, providing the rigidity required for a consistent brake feel while keeping weight to a minimum. A hard-anodized finish adds durability and gives the master cylinder its premium appearance.
