Gale Speed VRD17-17B Radial Brake Master Cylinder 17.5mm – Black / Dark Edition

The Gale Speed VRD17-17B combines extensive brake adjustment with the distinctive all-black appearance of the Dark Edition. Its forged aluminium body features a matte black hard-anodized finish, making this version ideal for riders who value both braking performance and premium styling.

With a 17.5mm piston diameter and variable 18-16mm ratio, the VRD allows the rider to fine-tune brake lever response to personal preference. The distance between the lever pivot and master cylinder action point can be adjusted in precise 0.25mm increments.

At the 16mm setting, the lever has a longer stroke with a softer and more progressive feel. Moving towards 18mm shortens the lever stroke and creates a firmer, more direct response.

Gale Speed Dark Edition

The VRD stands out with its distinctive matte black finish. After shot peening, the forged aluminium body receives a black hard-anodized treatment. Gale Speed intentionally minimizes machining to retain the characteristic surface texture of the forged aluminium.

Combined with the black body and rigid 2-point clamp, this gives the VRD a clean, premium appearance that works equally well on performance road bikes and dedicated track motorcycles.
